Head turning performances in Formula Renault winter series

"One of Britain's most highly rated karters will make his first serious venture into car racing this year on the back of some head turning performances in the Formula Renault winter series last November. Despite having very minimal testing time Scott was fighting it out on the fringes of the top ten at both Donington park and Croft, which was no mean achievement in a 32 car field of very high standard. Scott and his younger brother Sam have set the karting world alight in recent seasons. A champion in the UK, France, Italy and most recently in the United States last year. Scott came close to becoming World KF2 karting champion last summer, and his first full season of car racing in Formula Renault is eagerly anticipated by many. As a karting graduate he'll face a tough challenge against 30 other hungry young drivers but his time in karting has proved that he has all the skills he needs to succeed."

Complete dedication to reach the top

"I started my own career in karting alongside the likes of Jenson Button and know better than most what a tremendously tough proving ground junior karting is.

Scott has always impressed me with his complete dedication to reach the top. He certainly possesses the necessary skill levels and focus to do extremely well as he moves up the motor racing ladder. I have been able to witness many of the television interviews he has given and I was pleasantly surprised with his media abilities at such a young age"

Natural ability

"Our selection process is rigorous and includes not only ability but attitude and personality. The fact that we selected Scott three years in succession and in 2001 made him the youngest driver to represent his country speaks volumes not only for his natural ability but his commitment to the sport. We also used Scott to carry out television interviews and he has acquitted himself well in front of the media".

Martin Capenhurst England Kart team manager

"I have been the MSA steward for the British cadet championship for both years that Scott has competed and have always had a high regard for his ability and approach to the sport. He is a lovely lad with talent and should go a long way in motor sport."
John Ledster, MSA championship steward.

talent and dedication
"Scott has a rare mix of determination, talent and dedication that is quite extraordinary in one so young. I believe that Scott has the right attitude and maturity on and off the circuit that will take him all the way in motor sport."
Carolynn Hoy, Stars of Tomorrow. Scott in action for England

impressive technical feedback
"I have worked with Scott virtually since he started karting and have watched him develop into a top level driver. At such a young age his technical feedback is very impressive something I depend upon as his engine builder. He is reaping the rewards his talent so richly deserves"
Leon Lorego, Soixante Racing.

a joy to work with
"Over the years I have been privileged to work with some very talented drivers who have gone on to make a name for themselves within the sport. Scott has been a joy to work with and has become a driver the equal of them all. With his attitude he will I believe go on and achieve very much more."
Nigel Leonard, Race manager.

Stupendous achievenment                                                     Karting magazine front page April 2007

Although he thought his chances were gone after a spin in ICA qualifying,

fifteen year old Scott Jenkins overcame further adversity to triumph in not

one but two classes. This was quite a stupendous achievement, putting

vastly more experienced drivers to shame.
